Multiple choice cloze test
For this type of exercise, read the whole text, without looking at the multiple choice options. After that, read it again more slowly and pay close attention to which option fits best in each gap. Read the complete sentence before you decide, trying to guess which kind of word you need (verb, preposition, noun, adjective, etc.), in which tense (if the options are verbs), and in which number (singular or plural for nouns and verbs). Do not forget to look at how the sentence continues; many options are impossible to use because there is a preposition, or because we don't have a subject, etc.

Listening comprehension
Remember you don't need to understand every detail and every word, only the information asked in the exercise. Focus on that, and be ready to get the general understanding, as the information can be presented in different words and not the same ones you've got on the enunciation. For the gap fill activity type, make sure you revise your answers to check correct spelling.
