Unit 3B

3rd December

  • Correcting homework: ex. a) from 3B Grammar Bank.
  • Dependent prepositions: introduction and practice with ex. b) from 3B Grammar Bank and speaking.
  • How to write an article.
  • Homework: You have been asked to write an article for our school magazine about relative relationships:
Who is more important for you, your family or your friends? Do you think it’s possible to have a better relationship with your friends than with your relatives? What makes friends different from family?
    You have to write 175-200 words.

    • Correction homework Revise & Check units 1 and 2, except for the listening activities. For the short film, that has no activity in the book, you can do this gapped text completion exercise. You'll find the answer keys for both activities here and here.
    • Reading: "What kind of child were you and have you changed?".
    • Grammar: past simple and continuous, and used to for past experiences.
    • Pronunciation of -ed endings.
    • Speaking: "When I was younger..."
    • Homework: 3A Grammar Bank p. 136, exercises a) and b); exercise 3 from the photocopy Be used to lesson.

    • Completion of a gapped text. These are the keys.
    • Listening practice: here you can find the activity with the transcript and the audio.
    • Speaking practice: topic "Holidays and Travel".
    • Homework: prepare at home your monologue about holidays and perform it next Tuesday at class. This is VOLUNTARY, but reccommendable.
